We undertake tree felling of any scale and complexity, from individual specimen trees to large-scale removal programmes. Our teams are equipped with the machinery and training to work safely on restricted sites, alongside infrastructure and in locations where access is limited.
Our approach
Every felling operation begins with a site survey and method statement. For work on or near public highways, we coordinate traffic management where required. Our independent accreditations – including SSIP approval via the ARB Approved Contractor scheme- demonstrate that our safe working procedures have been assessed and verified by a third party, not merely self-declared.
Specialist capabilities include:
- Large tree removal — specialist rigging and sectional dismantling techniques
- Confined space felling — working within tight boundaries to protect adjacent structures and infrastructure
- Roadside and highway tree removal — coordinating with highway authorities and traffic management providers as needed
- Aerial operations — using Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) and climbing techniques
- Trees with structural defects or subsidence risk — assessed and removed safely with full documentation
Waste management
All arisings can be chipped and removed from site. Timber of suitable quality is processed through the George Walker Group sawmill operations, and woodchip is put to use as biomass fuel, a renewable, low-carbon energy source that displaces fossil fuels and significantly reduces carbon emissions.
Biomass heating is one of the most sustainable end-uses for felled timber and woody material. Rather than sending arisings to landfill or burning them on site, we ensure that waste wood from your project enters a productive supply chain – contributing to cleaner energy generation and a genuine circular approach to tree work.
It is an outcome that benefits both the environment and your own sustainability credentials as a client.
