Our Story

George Walker (Tree Care) Ltd was incorporated as a limited company in 1992, but the business it represents is older than that by almost forty years.

Our roots go back to 1953, when George Walker & Sons began operating as a tree surgery business from their base in Glenfield, Leicestershire.

The 1992 incorporation brought together the tree surgery expertise of George Walker & Sons with the forestry division of George Walker Ltd, the Syston-based sawmill and timber merchant.

The result was a unified company with exceptional depth of knowledge across both arboriculture and commercial forestry, a combination that remains central to how we operate today.

More than seventy years in the trade is not something that happens by accident. It reflects generations of skilled arborists, a long-term commitment to training and qualifications, and a reputation built on doing the work properly, safely, professionally, and to the standard our clients expect.
