Development sites frequently require pre-construction tree and vegetation clearance before groundworks can begin. Getting this right, on time, to specification, and with full compliance documentation, is critical to keeping a project on programme. We work with principal contractors, site managers and development companies to deliver clearance scopes as part of the wider construction programme.
Supply chain compliance - sorted
Pre-qualification is often the biggest friction point when appointing arboricultural subcontractors on construction projects. Our credentials are specifically structured for this environment. CHAS Elite accreditation — assessed against the Common Assessment Standard — is accepted across most major construction frameworks.
Our SSIP Approval (via the ARB Approved Contractor scheme, processed through Avetta) covers CDM Scope work, making us a compliant subcontractor for notifiable projects under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
We carry full public liability insurance and can provide all method statements, risk assessments and safe system of work documentation required by principal contractors.

We have a long-standing working relationship with Tarmac, one of the UK’s largest construction materials and quarrying businesses. Working across multiple Tarmac sites gives us direct experience of the documentation standards, safety management systems and working practices that large construction clients require from their supply chain.
Bird Nesting Season & Ecological Compliance
Vegetation removal during bird nesting season, broadly March to August, must be handled carefully. Disturbing an active nest is an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and can cause costly programme delays if not planned for in advance.
We advise on nesting season risk during the planning stage and can arrange pre-clearance checks where works fall within sensitive months. Where bats may be present in trees earmarked for removal, a licensed roost survey will be required before work can proceed, we can flag this early and direct you to an appropriate ecologist.
